This is a very good place to play with CSS. Nice little instant editor you can mess around with for instant agony or gratification depending upon the results and the intention. CSS Reference This is a clean looking site with a lot of good solid information.

This is a good site for tutorials. I happen to like the viewlets that give me a preview of software I've never seen before. Of course the section with FREE Things looks like a good resource too.
